From fresh ground to all varieties of roasts, steaks, and other cuts…all beef purchases are guaranteed to be pure grass fed and free of any added antibiotics and hormones.  The pork at Country Meadows is raised in their woodlot pastures, where they have plenty of room to roam. Pasture raised chicken is available year round and always fresh during the summer months.

Other selections include pasture raised turkeys at Thanksgiving, pasture raised lamb, and rabbit.

Farming Practices & Gallery…

Country Meadows Farm practices rotational grazing on native perennial grasses and forbs that have reached maturity. As the grass is bitten off and knocked down, it spreads its seed and sheds its roots. The old root then deteriorates, providing food for the earthworms and builds organic matter in the soil. Soon, new roots begin to grow and further loosen the rich soil.

By rotating their animals and allowing plants to mature, they are ensured of healthier soil that requires no re-seeding and provides healthier food the next round of grazing. As their different animals follow one another to fresh pastures, they also provide protection against each other’s parasites. As a result, their animals require no antibiotics or synthetic wormers. Likewise, the farm has no use for GMO’s or harmful chemicals.
