Located in the heart of Lancaster County, Community of Oasis at Bird-in-Hand is your local farm to table source for nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables, milk and cheeses, and a variety of meats…all of which are free of added hormones and synthetic chemicals.

Oasis is a collective of small Lancaster County farms, most of which are owned by Amish families that have a rich tradition of agriculture simplicity, ecological care, and respect for the land. The goal of Oasis is to provide Lancaster County communities and visitors with organic and natural, healthy and delicious foods…while maintaining sustainable farming practices. Each Community of Oasis farm uses chemical free and certified-organic growing techniques that are labor-intensive and often more expensive, however, the extra efforts involved result in nutrient-rich soil that produces foods with better nourishment.

Our Story…

Community of Oasis is a collective of local farmers in Lancaster County who, with a shared vision, live and work on small, diversified farms, where their free-range animals roam on pastures and all vegetation is grown without the use of any synthetic chemicals. Because each one of these farm families care deeply about the health of their land, families, and community, they take deliberate steps to build the nutrient content of their soil so they can grow health-filled plants, providing better nourishment after harvest.

Our CSA, Farm Shares…

Join with those who have found the great advantage of eating freshly harvested nutritious foods at reasonable cost. Each week for 25 weeks, through participation in the farm shares offered by Community of Oasis at Bird-in-Hand, CSA customers can submit their preference for a pick-up day and use that day for the entire season beginning mid-May through late October.
