Our Story & Vision…

From the Store’s Owner:

I’m Luisa, a Fashion Designer and Seamstress. I’ve started to make my own clothing when I was 8 years old back in my hometown in Lima-Peru.

I’ve moved to the USA from Peru as a young woman seeking the “land of opportunity”. And as a result of my passion for my Peruvian heritage – and my people – I founded “My Peruvian Treasures” Artisan Apparel.

My products are Fairly Traded and they’re the result of my collaboration with different artisans from small family businesses in Peru, who pass on the time-honored tradition of knitting, weaving and embroidery to future generations.

Peru is the land of natural fibers like Alpaca and Organic Pima Cotton. And the Peruvian Amazon is rich in organic sources and gemstones.

Every piece of Clothing, Bags, Jewelry and Gifts from our Shop is a One-of-a-Kind. And as I’d like to call them, they’re beautiful pieces of Wearable Art!

Products made from Alpaca and Baby Alpaca Fiber are available all year round for Children and Adults at our shop in Lititz and online on Etsy.

Alpaca is a hypoallergenic fiber, strong and soft. Warmer than goose down and better breathing than thermal knits.

Alpacas were domesticated by the Incas and were reserved exclusively for the elite and nobility.

Peruvian Pima Cotton is softer and more absorbent than other cottons. Perfect for those who suffer from allergies or sensitive skin.

We carry Artisan Made Clothing in Pima Cotton for Ladies and Little Girls ages Newborn to 8 years old.

Our Organic Jewelry is made by highly skilled Artisans. Their pieces are handcrafted from leather, cotton woven textiles, semi-precious gemstones, wild flowers, bull horn, fruit peels and various types of Amazon seeds and nuts. No two pieces are identical!

I take great pleasure on sharing the stories of our artisans and their work of love. By visiting “My Peruvian Treasures” you’ll be transport it to Peru and the richness of its art and culture.
