Goat Milk Soap, Raw Goat Cheese…

With a reputation that extends far beyond their Amish farmstead, Misty Creek Goat Dairy is known and appreciated for their wonderful artisanal cheeses, all of which is made on location from raw milk and aged for a minimum of 60 days and as long one year.

Misty Creek goat cheddar varieties include Plain, Smoked, Wine-n-Goat, and Garlic & Chives.  Other goat cheese selections include Colby, Monterey Hot Jack (Habanero), Tomme De Conestoga, Misty Lovely, Mist O’ Bleu, Kidchego, and Midnight Dream.  In addition to cheeses made only from goats milk, they also carries blended varieties and cheese made only from cows milk.

What a delightful visit. A friend recommended this place, but we were already past closing. Nevertheless, Danny greeted us with warmth right away. We got to interact with the goats, ask tons of questions about everything from the dairy to Amish culture, and sampled some delicious cheese and milk-based products. The goat milk blue cheese is AMAZING! Of the entire day trip to Lancaster, our impromptu stop at Misty Creek Goat Dairy was by far the highlight. We are still talking about it and I have so many delights for my tastebuds to spur the memories.

The BEST goat milk you will find anywhere! We come up and buy the goat milk for ourselves and the goat cheese for both our own little household and our Farm Market in VA. Amos Miller was always a joy to work with, and his nephew Daniel has taken it over and is truly carrying on the tradition of award-winning cheeses! I can't wait to see what else he creates!
