Illustrated Historical Atlas of Lancaster County

Coming soon…we at realLancasterCounty.com will be privileged to share pages from the Illustrated Historical Atlas of Lancaster County, a limited-production book published by Fox Chapel Publishing.

All 85 maps from the original Atlas are faithfully reproduced, including 6 pages of detailed views of Lancaster City. You’ll also find close-ups of many other towns throughout the County—including Columbia, Adamstown, Christiana, Elizabethtown, Lititz, Manheim, Marietta, Washington Boro, Denver, and many more.

To give you a better idea of what Lancaster County “looked like” throughout the 20th Century, hundreds of rare photos selected from the archives of the Lancaster County Historical Society and many other local historical societies, preservation groups and private collectors are included.  Following each map you’ll find a fascinating array of images illustrating that specific township, city or borough. Many of these photos have never been re-published, and will help you appreciate the beauty and vitality that makes Lancaster County so special.
