Lancaster’s Foremost Resoucre In Grenhouse Services…

Funk’s Riverview Greenhouse has been adding beauty to the homes and gardens of Lancaster County for four generations.  Beginning in 1965, they started with one greenhouse, since then this hidden gem has been committed to providing their valued customers with a full selection of flowers and vegetable plants.  They have since grown to 5 greenhouses, which allows them to keep pace in accommodating all of the springtime planting needs of their many loyal customers, as well as the many appreciative people who discover them for the first time each year.

For the Funk’s, their busy season begins in the cold winter months where they spend their time preparing and planting vibrant annuals and hearty perennials.  After the Spring thaw, as the temperatures begin to warm, Funk’s Riverview Greenhouses opens in late March, ready to supply homes and gardens with flourishing bounty and vibrant beauty.  During the course of the growing season, Funk’s supplies their customers with 6,000 geraniums, 1,000 hanging baskets, famous Washington Boro tomatoes (along with 50 other varieties including heirloom), 20 pepper varieties, fruit trees, & assorted berry plants.

As a locally owned and family operated business that began with one greenhouse in 1965, Funk’s Riverview Greenhouse is a story of family, faith, and lots of hard work!  The family patriarch, Mr. Funk, is now 90 years old but is still active and gets around like he’s ten years younger than he is!  As a family, the Funk’s are thankful to God for the continued and bountiful blessings on their business.  They are also grateful for the faithful patronage of their many loyal customers through the years.  Located just 300 feet from the Susquehanna River, the Funk’s invite you to come enjoy their farm’s amazing view!  Look through their bird scope to see the area’s water fowl or even possibly see a bald eagle.
