Fire and Ice Festival 2015 in Historic Lititz…Lancaster County, PA

This coming weekend, February 13-16, Lititz will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Fire and Ice Festival!
The Festival is a fun way to break out of the “cabin fever” that so many of us in the northeast suffer from.
Starting at 5pm on Friday there will be a “party in the park” (the famous Lititz Springs Park), as well as a “Downtown Block Party”.  Ice Sculptures, games, live entertainment and food and shopping are the headliners in this fun evening.
On Saturday bring your Valentine to the vendor fair and chili cook off between 11and 3.  The chili cook off showcases the talents of 25 different chili cooks-who are all vying for various awards, including the “People’s Choice” trophy. Each chef is also representing a particular charity(of their choice.  Chili Cookoff entry buttons are available for $8.00 in advance at Bomberger’s Store, Keller Brother’s Ford, Pork and Wally’s Restaurant, and Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill(Lititz).  Tickets are $10.00 at the door of Warwick High School Cafeteria where the activities are taking place.
If you’d rather take the kids (as opposed to your Valentine), bundle them up and come to the Warwick High School Gymnasium where a fun afternoon is promised at the Winter Wonderland Carnival!  This is a fun pay-as -you-go event filled with inflatables, face-painting, games, crafts, food and much more!
Sunday brings an exciting dodge ball tournament(also at Warwick High School) and a free movie-Frozen, held at Linden Hall. See http://lititzfireandicefestival.com/faqs.html for more details.

Even if you do none of the above, make sure to stop by the town of Lititz to see the unique ice sculptures throughout the town…….they won’t be there for long!
