Explore the Covered Bridges of Lancaster County PA Dutch Country

As you travel throughout picturesque Lancaster County, sooner or later you will encounter a covered bridge. Despite their constant exposure to all kinds of inclement weather and outside elements, at least 25 functional covered bridges continue to stand the test of time as purveyors of authentic history. Traveling from one covered bridge to the next is a great way to tour PA Dutch country. Don’t forget your camera…you will pass some great photogenic views and pastoral vistas. Pictured here is a newly constructed covered bridge, just off Pinetown Road in Manheim Township…it replaced one that was destroyed by flood waters a couple of years ago.
