Mennonite Information Center
Conveniently located along Route 30, in the heart of Lancaster County, the Mennonite Information Center explains the authentic faith, cultural heritage, and living practices of the Amish and Mennonites, which are a significant part of historic and present-day local PA Dutch communities. This destination is a great place to begin your visit to Lancaster County, starting with the Who Are the Amish? documentary.
The Information Center offers an interactive exhibit and brief film explaining the history of and differences within the Anabaptist movement, which serves as the common root for the Amish and Mennonite faiths.
In addition to hosting a Ten Thousand Villages gift shop, they provide a full range of local information about dining, shopping, and attractions of interest. They also provide experienced tour guides who can board your own vehicle or tour bus and take you and your family/friends/group on a fascinating Amish farmlands tour.
During your visit, take time to explore an intricately designed full-sized reproduction of The Biblical Tabernacle, which is enjoyed by people of all backgrounds.
