Wayside Greenhouse is one of the many stops for annual spring-summer flowers.
It's worth stopping by Wayside for floral inspiration and to pick up a few houseplants, annuals, veggies, herbs, or perennials.
I always purchase a bag of two of the Wayside soil. My houseplants and planters seem to thrive with this soft mixture.
I like the addition of a concrete ramp, which makes it easier to get in and out of the greenhouse and back to your car with your purchases. It also makes it easier for some in wheelchairs to access the greenhouse.

The plants are always wonderful and hearty. We never have any issues with them rooting and growling extremely well with lots of flowering. Plus the price, you basically get 2 for 1 compared to other places.

I’m a first time customer (and also last time). I have been receiving so many email and catalogs from them that I finally decided to order something in May. I placed an order for a rose, one rubeckia, one alyum and one of my favorites the incrediball hydrangea, for which I was very excited about.
After I placed the order, I received a confirmation email that they will notify me when the order was shipped, a notification which I never received. The plants arrived one day without notice on a very hot day and they delivered all the plants in one single, long box; and they were set on my concrete walkway. I arrived home to open the box, and put the plants immediately in a shaded area. All the plants were almost entirely dead from heat. The Incrediball Hydrangea was completely dead and dry but not because of the sun, they send me a basically small clipping of an already dead plant. I have pictures to prove it!
I called the next day, and they told me “no problem, we will send you another one to replace it, for free” (obviously!).
Two weeks later, on a hot Sunday I receive a delivery; they sent the replacement!! To my surprise it was also dead like the first order. I called the next day to ask for a refund, and that I was completely dissatisfied with their service. They apologized and promised to post my credit in 24-48 hours. On week later and my credit was not refunded, I called again and two days later I finally got my money back.
That is the reason I’m giving them one star only. I learned a lesson not to buy my plants from a catalog and better go to my local farm, where I can buy what I see with my own eyes. And I hope they also learn from a dissatisfied customer that will never buy from them again.
