CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, which is in essence, a partnership between a local farm and members of the public who commit to supporting the farm in an agreed-upon way.

How does it benefit the consumers? By providing delicious fresh vegetables/and or fruits (in season) on a regular basis.  CSA members are supporting the local, small farm, and the participating farm is guaranteed that it’s produce will sell-and the farmer does not need to borrow large sums of money to plant a crop. What a creative alternative!
